Great companion audio bible to daily reading

This is a great audio bible. This mp3 3-dics set contains both the Old and New Testament. I wanted to purchase the cd version of this set, but it was very hard to find for a reasonable price; as a result, I purchased the mp3 version.
I will admit, as other reviewers stated, the constantly changing music was a bit much at first...but eventually, I forget about the music, if I would have meditated and dwelt on the music as being a problem throughout the listening of the chapters, it could have become one. But I don't think the music alone should be a reason for someone not to purchase this set, in fact, young teens may thoroughly enjoy the music; there are a few electronica sounds on a few chapters. I will add to this though that I am not a very hard to please person, I got this because this is the version of the bible I most use; perhaps my standards are lower than other viewers concerning the product.
It is true, there are no chapter selections, each track is a full book; such as Matthew, Joel, etc. If you want to easily choose a certain chapter, I would not recommend this set for you. Because it is a set of 3 mp3 cds, I figured this was probably the case in advance; so I am currently going through the entire bible in this set and making notes of when each chapter begins. It's not a huge hardship for me as I am reading the bible chapter by chapter anyway; making a note of the time on the mp3 for each chapter takes 3 secs or less.
As a college student, I'm happy I could find an audio bible of the NCV this cheap. I'm happy about my purchase and I can see my spiritual growth even more daily now that I have incorporated this set into my reading regimen. Blessings! ^_^

I like the NCV very much. I always read it with my NASB open beside it. The audio voice is very good and at a good rate of speed. Now the negatives. The obnoxious drum type beat in the background is very distracting. The term words "contemporary" and "music" do not belong in the same sentence. This would be a great audio if it didn't have the background distractions.
