This book contains pretty basic information regarding night and low-light photography. Examples include using the sturdiest tripod one can afford, basic information on white balance and advice on using automatic white balance, basic information on using in-built camera noise reduction and a few pages on rudimentary Photoshop techniques such as the use of the "desaturate" feature to create B&W photos, noise reduction techniques, adjusting for under and over exposure and adjusting for color "temperature", among other things. The photographs contained in the book though are also quite good. The photographer clearly has a mastery of the subject.
All the information is pretty basic. This is a book designed, pretty much, for the beginner with only a rudimentary knowledge of photography albeit nowhere on the book cover or the description of the book on Amazon is this stated. As a result the intermediary photographer would obtain only few useful tips of advice and the serious or pro practically zero.

Good if bought used

I purchased this book used and its alright but is geared more towards a beginner rather than a photographer with experience. For my use there were a few good reminders of what I already knew and having said that I am glad I did not pay full price.
